Everything will be ok

Abstract expressionism lets me dance between perception, realization and self-observation. To gain access to emotional dynamics, I explore relationships between shapes and colors. I believe that the beauty of the abstract form encourages and invites the observer to participate in dialogue. From these exchanges, understanding is not fixed, but variable, opening up possibilities.

I focus on rounder organic forms and objects that float on the canvas using a layering process. I avoid straight and hard lines to open up the forms to greater interpretation, resulting in a less rigid definition to foster the exploration of multiple dimensions.

With the abstract form, I am able to express and excite a visceral response that creates a dialogue between shape, form, and reality–a pictorial language that differs from commonly held expressions. Through this discourse, I encourage an exploration of dialogue that questions perception and understanding, inviting the viewer to write their own story.
